Bespoke Jewellery; Organic Gold Earrings
Imagine the thrill of bespoke jewellery: taking something old, something tucked away, and transforming it into a stunning new creation with a fresh story. That’s exactly what unfolded when I designed a flower pot brooch from a client’s inherited gold and gemstones—but this bespoke jewellery journey didn’t stop there. With precious materials left over, we saw an opportunity to create a second, equally breathtaking piece: a pair of exquisite gold earrings.
The original brooch held immense sentimental value for my client, yet it wasn’t her style. But the thought of letting go of the gold and gemstones from her mother’s pieces was out of the question. Fortunately, we had enough to start a new chapter, and these heirloom materials became the basis for an incredible set of bespoke jewellery: earrings inspired by nature, but uniquely hers.
Inspired by the organic world, we designed gold earrings that embody elegance and strength. The design began with a nod to the flower pot motif, inverting it as a playful starting point, and adding intricate zig-zag details drawn directly from her mother’s wedding ring. From there, delicate spindrels burst out asymmetrically, curling around a luminous white sapphire and a pearl. This arrangement not only matched the flower pot brooch but gave the earrings a versatile charm, perfect for any occasion.
The end result? Bespoke jewellery that was nothing short of spectacular. These gold earrings now seamlessly complement her flower pot brooch, creating a cohesive, captivating look that’s refined yet striking. Yet they also stand alone, each detail a testament to thoughtful design and craft—turning old treasures into a new story.
